How to Choose the Right Printing Company for you

By: joey jacobs

With the steam of online printing companies out there, how will you single it out to one? To know which printing company to choose, you first have to identify several considerations about what and how you want your printed materials to look like, and how much money you are willing to shell out for the project.

Digital versus offset printing

Some companies focus solely on digital printing services, given its many advantages. These include affordable rates for short run prints especially deal for large format posters and other big printouts that are normally produced in small quantities.

Production time is also less since digital printing eliminates some of the initial steps present in traditional printing methods. Moreover, digital printouts can be immediately cut, folded, bound and packed for shipping since the inks dry out as soon as the papers come out of the printer.

Aside from its high definition images, this printing technology also makes it possible for you to have printouts with certain information varied per page, like those in the case of bank checks and raffle coupons which have numberings unique to each leaf.

Other companies offer both digital and offset printing. Despite the capabilities of modern printing techniques, offset printing still has some good points that just cannot be replaced. Unlike digital printing, offset printing is perfect for commercial printing with large volume orders. The more your print, the cheaper each copy gets.

It also has better color matching turnout because it has other inks, aside from the usual cyan, magenta, yellow and black colors.

Weigh which printing method suits you more. If you think you have varying needs, it would be best to go to a company that has both means.

Complete services

Aside from offering offset printing and/or digital printing, look for a printing company that has a comprehensive list of supplementary services, better if some of these services are free. They need to have proofing services, mailing services and design assistance. These are pretty basic but the extent of each service does vary with each company so do your research well to get the best deals.

Why settle for less if you can have more? But be careful. Make sure that the company delivers its promises. It might be all talk and no action. Then you’ll be getting less than your money’s worth.

Values customer relations

You want a company that will surely attend to your printing needs and concerns. If they truly value their relationship with their customers, they will provide means to create a bridge between them and their clients.

Choose and stick to a company that has excellent customer relations and places importance on their satisfaction. If they value these principles, you are assured that with your printing projects, as well as the succeeding ones, you will have stress-free transactions and good results.

When you find the right printing company for you, you wouldn’t have to go through the entire process of assessing these things again. It’s like marriage: when you find the right one, there is no sense in looking for another.
