Scooter Rise

After finding the independence and transportability that comes with using mobility scooters, the disabled and aged find that nowadays almost all public buildings and car parks have ramps for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

They might have also decided to set up permanent rises in their residences to assist them travel over raised surfaces such as the steps of their residences. To do so, it would be ideal for them to get expert advice to work out things like the height of the obstruction and the slope that can be navigated by their scooters.

However, they may still come across circumstances or traffic areas that may stop them from proceeding further on their scooters. These circumstances may be in the form of stairs, kerbs or rough surface levels on roads and sidewalks. In these circumstances, they may need to use portable scooter rises if they wish to continue their journey without asking anyone for assistance.

There is a wide range of rises available on the market that are perfect for all the above circumstances, as well as for moving around in split-level residences when visiting, and in the loading and unloading of their own scooters from cars. These rises can be transported with them on their scooters and are obtainable as threshold ramps to assist them move over low obstacles such as cracks and sliding door grooves; light-weight and easily movable telescopic rises for stairs and other similar obstacles; and the roll-up varieties for easy mobility and storage in their scooter's storage sections.

Before actually buying a portable incline, it is prudent to get as much data as possible on the characteristics of the different varieties of rises available, and how these characteristics meet the particular needs of the buyer. If Internet access is available, a comparison of the characteristics provided by the different makes and models and their prices will provide an idea of which particular incline would give the optimum return on investment.
